Castle Howard

Set in 1,000 acres of stunning gardens, lake and woodlands Castle Howard has been in the Howard family for over 300 years and today makes for a great visit as you explore the grounds or attend the regularly changing programme of events and exhibitions on offer. There are lakeside walks, a Farm Shop and Courtyard Café to enjoy on your visit with plenty of good quality local produce on offer.

The extensive grounds of the estate also house a treasure of different buildings such as the mausoleum, fountains and temple to discover along the way. Take a boat trip on the Great Lake or simply walk along the pathways admiring the varied flowers which border the grass with brilliant colours.
