Yorkshire Cottages Policy
Yorkshire Cottages operate a policy of letting cottages that can achieve a minimum 3 star VisitBritain (VB) grading. Our pricing remains very competitive in an effort to provide value for money quality accommodation.
VisitBritain (formerly the English Tourism Council) developed common standards for the quality assessment of self catering accommodation and most of our cottages are inspected annually by VisitBritain quite independently of our own inspections.
There are minimum entry requirements in order to be recognised by VB and to obtain higher ratings an establishment will provide an enhanced quality across all area of:
- Exterior
- Cleanliness
- Management efficiency
- Public areas eg lounge dining rooms
- Bedrooms
- Bathrooms & WC’s
- Kitchen & additional facilities
Quality is important to guests and they expect consistency throughout the property.
