Description

Admirals Cottage has access from a private drive at the front and access via a shared garden and is a delightful two bedroom property close to the centre of the coastal resort of Bridlington. It has recently undergone a full refurbishment making it a modern, well equipped cottage with tasteful decor and furnishings throughout. It is an ideal base for families and couples looking to explore this beautiful area of the East Coast. The large enclosed garden is an ideal place for relaxing and re charging your batteries whilst enjoying the afternoon sun and also for the children to explore. A 5 minute walk will bring you into the town centre where you can enjoy all the amenities Bridlington has to offer including a beautiful harbour with two lovely sandy beaches on each side, where you can sail on ’The Yorkshire Belle; pleasure cruiser that offers a 1 hour cruise along the coast. Admirals Cottage is also close to the South beach and also Bridlington Spa that attracts many visitors throughout the year for its many concerts and entertainment. Flamborough Head and the RSPB Bempston Cliffs are only a short drive away where you will find puffins, gannets and dolphins in their natural habitat. Filey is well worth a visit during your stay and for that traditional family beach, have a stroll along the Victorian promenade or walk part of the Cleveland Way between Scarborough and Filey. The medieval city of York is less than an hour away with great train links from the local train station.

About the local area

The area is excellent for keen walkers, dog owners and cyclists with the famous 170 mile Coast to Coast way of the Roses cycle trail starting at Morecambe and ending in Bridlington. the famous Wolds Way walk can be accessed just 10 minutes away for keen ramblers and you can come and visit the stunning landscapes close by that inspired artist, David Hockney to paint this beautiful part of East Yorkshire. The area is also a haven for keen bird watchers with the well known RSPB cliff top sanctuary at Bempton just a short drive away. Perched high on the cliffs above Bridlington Bay is Sewerby Hall and Gardens, which is a great day out. You can also visit the historic houses of Burton Agnes and Sledmere House that are slightly further away
