It is a stone built barn conversion with plenty of character and charm that provides a perfect base for families and couples looking to explore the Yorkshire Coast and the North York Moors National park areas. It is well equipped with modern furnishings and decor and is in an ideal setting for keen walkers and cyclists. From the cottage there are footpaths that lead into the forest and down to the local beauty spot of Falling Foss Waterfall where you can also enjoy a cup of tea at Midge Hall tearoomsl, whilst enjoying the spectacular view. The surrounding, tranquil woodland is excellent for all the family to enjoy with an abundance of wildlife to make a holiday here a truly memorable one.

About the local area

Whitby is a great day out for all the family where you can see the Abbey and St Mary's Church perched on the cliff top after climbing the famous 199 steps, or take a  trip out on one of the pleasure boats and view Whitby in all its glory from the sea and harbour. There are also many events going on all year round including Whitby's own Regatta, Folk Week, music weekends and Goth weekends which offer something to please everyone. A visit to Robin Hoods Bay is certainly a day to remember. This unspoilt village nestles on the cliffs of the North York Moors National Park heritage coast and is a mix of cobbled, narrow streets and alleyways with individual shops, pubs and tearooms, and a lovely beach where you an enjoy fossil hunting and rook pooling.
