Eskape Cottage is a truly delightful cottage that has undergone a major refurbishment and has been finished off to a very high standard. The decor and furnishings in every room have been tastefully done and the beautiful ’romantic room’ at the top of the cottage is stunning. It has everything included for you to enjoy a memorable and restful holiday in the picturesque market town of Pickering. It is a perfect base for families and couples and dog owners with a number of countryside walks very close by. The garden is detached from the house and is south facing. It is lawned and gated ideal to let children and dogs play in.. The summer house at the top of the garden is furnished and the perfect place to sit and relax, while children play. Shop 200 yards, pub and restaurant 500 yards.

About the local area

A 5 minute walk will take you into the centre of Pickering where they hold a market twice a week and there are ample shops, pubs and some excellent restaurants. It is a perfect location for exploring the Moors, coast and many historic properties for walkers and outdoor pursuit enthusiasts as well as, steam train enthusiasts, and bird watchers. You must take a trip on the North Yorkshire Moors steam train, travelling from Pickering and as far as the historic fishing town of Whitby, stopping off at the beautiful North York Moors villages of Grosmont and Goathland (otherwise known as Heartbeat Country). Pickering is a great central location for great days out within a 20 miles radius, including Flamingo Land theme park and zoo, the beautiful historic city of York, the seaside town of Scarborough and Whitby, all with numerous activities for the whole family to enjoy.
