About the local area
The North York Moors steam railway line which runs between Pickering, Grosmont and Whitby is easily accessible, along with Rosedale, Danby, Castleton and Goathland, alias Aidensfield in the popular TV series of Heartbeat. For those who enjoy the outdoors, excellent footpath walks direct from the cottage lead into the beautiful Esk Valley.
