About the local area
Scarborough's harbour area and piers are where to head for fishing trips and boat trips and to view the famous 1930s lighthouse. There are numerous activities in Scarborough for all ages including swimming, golfing, fishing, indoor go-carting, bowling, cinemas and lots more. Travelling slightly further, you can appreciate the beautiful North York Moor National Park areas and Dalby forest is a great place to visit for outdoor enthusiasts, with some excellent pathways and cycle tracks and the famous Go Ape assult course that the kids will love. The beautiful coastal resorts of Robin Hoods Bay and Whitby are less than 20 miles away and are well worth a visit.
