Opened in 2011 each barn has been individually styled, architecturally designed and benefits from beautiful character features such as exposed stonework, solid oak beams and oak flooring married together with modern conveniences. All cottages have comfortable sofas and comfortable beds.
Guests have access to two acres of award winning gardens, including a newly designed oriental gravel garden. Secure storage for bicycles. The area is perfect for horse riders or cyclists to ride straight out with miles of bridleways and cycle routes to explore in and around the North York Moors and an excellent area for bird watching.
The nearest local pub and restaurant is The Anvil Inn in Sawdon village serving a good menu and hearty Sunday roasts (booking is recommended).
Basin Howe Farm takes its name from its very own Bronze Age burial mound. This is a truly unique selection of cottages offering a chance to get away from it all in scenic surroundings.
Jade Cottage has original large feature barn windows letting in an abundance of daylight to the spacious lounge and the bedroom above. Both bedrooms are on the first floor and have their own en-suite facilities. Both the kitchen and the lounge are spacious enough for a dining table and chairs so there is a choice between dining in the lounge or in the kitchen.
Guests may use the patio in front of the farm house overlooking the parterre with views to the Wolds or the seating in the mature rose garden.
