Filey has one of the best beaches in the country and also an unspoilt seafront with a few children's rides, cafes and shops and an amusement arcade. The promenade is just perfect for an evening stroll with your dog. Families come back year after year to savour the town's charms. There are also many activities for all ages including swimming, sailing, surfing, pony rides and fishing trips. It is also ideal for keen walkers and cyclists with the famous Cleveland  Way finishing/starting at Filey Brigg. Filey is in a perfect location as it  is situated centrally between the beautiful coastal resorts of Scarborough and Bridlington, which both provide a fun packed day out. Flamborough Head, just 15 miles away has many amazing places to visit from the RSPB reserve at Bempton Cliffs, the stunning beaches at Thornwick Bay, North Landing, Selwicks Bay, South Landing, Danes Dyke and Sewerby. Perched high on the cliffs above Bridlington Bay is Sewerby Hall and Gardens, which is a great place to visit. The picturesque village of Hunmanby is well worth a visit and only 2 miles.
