It has been decorated and furnished to a very high standard and offers excellent accommodation for large families or two families sharing. Filey is only four miles away and is a traditional, Victorian seaside resort with a family atmosphere and a magnificent five mile stretch of golden sands.

About the local area
If you are looking for an active holiday Filey has a lot to offer such as surfing, fishing, yachting, golf and bird watching. Families come back year after year to savour the town's charm. Chestnut House is also a perfect location for keen walkers and cyclists with some challenging pathways and cycle tracks close by. If you would like to travel slightly further the beautiful coastal resorts of Scarborough and Whitby are a great day out. Scarborough is only eight miles away and has a fun fair and amusements to keep the children happy and also the Sea Life Centre. The historic town of Whitby with its stunning Abbey, cobbled streets and quaint shops and tearooms and not to mention its famous Fish and Chips is an excellent day out.
