Hillcrest Cottage is nestled in a superb position on the eastern fringe of the North Yorkshire Moors National Park area close to Scarborough, in a lovely little place called Broxa (Anglo Saxon for home of the Badger). Formally an 18th century barn, it has been recently renovated, and lovingly decorated and furnished to an extremely high standard. The property is very well-equipped with everything you should require to enjoy your stay, especially the hot tub which is perfect for couples looking to relax on a summers’ evening and enjoy the scenery with a glass of wine.

About the local area
The area is very picturesque with stunning views from the property and lying adjacent to River Derwent, Dalby and Broxa Forests and Throxenby Mere. It is in an ideal area for keen ramblers and cyclists looking to explore this beautiful area with some excellent pathways and cycle tracks right from your doorstep and through Harwood Dale. The owners have hens and ducks roaming around the garden and will provide you with fresh eggs for your stay. There are plenty of activities to do in the area including off roading, fishing, golfing and music festivals in the nearby Dalby forest. The sea-side coastal resorts of Whitby and Scarborough are only a short drive away, boasting of some excellent shops and restaurants winning awards for their outstanding cuisine.
