The master bedroom houses a 4 poster bed, en-suite bathroom and views over the garden and river, whilst the lounge hosts a woodburning stove - a must for those cooler evenings! This peaceful setting is perfect for those who simply wish to relax and unwind, whilst handy for exploring the coastal resort of Scarborough, some 3 miles away, the historic City of York, an hour's drive and the beautiful North Yorkshire Moors National Park, often referred to as 'Heartbeat Country'.

All fuel, power, bed linen and towels included. Travel cot, high chair and stair gate available. One well behaved pet welcome (may take more by arrangement). Pets must not be left in the property unattended, not allowed on the furniture or in the bedrooms.
Large fully enclosed lawned garden fronting onto the River Derwent with fishing rights "Free of Charge" - bring your own rods and licence. Garden furniture and BBQ provided. Ample off road parking in secure grounds. Internet access available
Children must be strictly supervised as the garden abuts the River Derwent and is unfenced.
Control "Zapper" for the electric gates will have a refundable £30 deposit charged on arrival and refunded on departure.

Numerous attractions in the area will suit all age groups, from golden beaches, Scarborough's historic Spa and South Bay, children's amusements and zoo. From River Cottage, a quiet lane leads to the main road with numerous shops including a post office, chemist and homemade cake and pie shop. Two pubs and a fish restaurant are also within easy walking distance, or if you wish to drive, a further selection is available en-route to Scarborough. For those with an interest in horse riding, Ireton Riding Centre is just a mile away from the cottage, along with Wykeham Lake which offers trout and course fishing and sailing.

Very helpful and friendly owners, spacious, warm, good facilities and well placed. 
Excellent location. Quality of the cottage was superb and perfect for six people.
