About the local area

Scarborough, Britain’s first seaside resort, has been welcoming visitors for over 360 years and is still as popular as ever.

Scarborough is a great a place to stay for a holiday or short break, with the safe, sandy, accredited North Bay Beach and  South Bay Beach being broken by a rocky headland on which stands a reminder of the past, the historic Scarborough Castle.

The resort offers first class attractions such as the award winning Sea Life Marine Sanctuary, Scarborough Art Gallery and the newly refurbished Rotunda Museum, along with many festivals, including Seafest, Jazz, Bike week, Scarborough Fayre and the Scarborough Cricket Festival, provide you with all year round events.

Filey is an Edwardian English seaside town with a friendly atmosphere. A perfect place for those who want an active holiday, a short break or for those who just prefer to relax with the restful background of fishermen mending their nets.

The five-mile stretch of award winning sandy beach is protected by the rocky grandeur of Filey Brigg, a haven for a variety of birds and wildlife. All generations of families can enjoy the nature trail along Filey Brigg as they explore the many rock pools in search of sea creatures. Surfing, fishing, yachting, golf, walking and bird watching are just a few of the activities, which are here to be enjoyed.

What our customers say

L Green - September 2011

The property is well presented & has everything needed for a self catering holiday. The hot tub was enjoyed by all but especially the children. There is plenty of space for the children to play & although the weather was mixed we did use the Bar-B-Q once. Great location. Friendly owners. Would recommend a visit.

October 2010

Just what we wanted(except the rain!) Comfortable, within reach of many attractions, walks etc. To be recommended.
