Anvil Cottage was formerly part of a 17th century blacksmiths workshop and has now been renovated to a good standard to provide perfect holiday accommodation for couples in the quiet village of High Hawsker. The cottage is situated in the grounds of the owner's home, and has full use of the pretty garden complete with pond and furniture. A leather sofa bed in the lounge provides additional room for two extra guests.
The village has a pub serving excellent food, and for those wishing to take a break from driving, a frequent bus service runs to Whitby and Scarborough. The North York Moors National Park offers something for everyone with varied landscape such as heather clad moorland, sweeping dales and quaint villages, not to mention the beautiful heritage coastline just waiting to be discovered.

The property and the proprieters were excellent and we intend to return in the new year, for another short break, out of season, mainly because we love the area, especially, when its not too crowded.
We were very happy with the property in every respect and the owners were especially welcoming and helpful.
Very well set up and well thought out. Had everything you needed & very clean. Good base for touring, better still the local pub was only 50 yards down the road and the food was very good!
