Description

Aurora is a delightful cottage positioned in a secluded, picturesque area in the North Yorkshire National Park area of Fylingdales. Nestling within the grounds of the owners’ home and surrounded by wildlife, this property provides an excellent base for couples looking to explore this beautiful coastline. It is located in a central position in between the sea-side resorts of Whitby and Scarborough with only a 10 mile drive either way. The cottage boasts of panoramic views over Robin Hoods Bay and out to sea and you can also enjoy spectacular views of the sunrise that are not to be missed, which can be appreciated whilst relaxing in the outside patio area complete with furniture. Decorated and furnished to a very good standard throughout and bursting with character and charm. The log burner gives the property a warm, welcoming feel and is perfect for curling up in front of on a cooler evening. The owner is a trained reflexologist and is happy to offer you this service during your stay.

About the local area

‘Aurora’ is an ideal base for keen walkers or cyclists with numerous pathways and cycle tracks right on your doorstep. The famous 110 mile Cleveland Way that is situated right on the cliff top and will take you to Scarborough and beyond, or the old railway line that is ideal for cyclists that will also take you to Scarborough or Whitby in the opposite direction. Robin Hoods Bay is a beautiful village just 5 miles along the Coast that has character and charm in abundance. The historic fishing town of Whitby is only 10 miles away in the opposite direction where you can appreciate the stunning Abbey, quaint shops and tearooms and you must sample its famous Fish and Chips. There are many more pretty coastal resorts dotted along this coastline that are definitely worth visiting like, Sandsend, Runswick Bay and Staithes.
