Beckside Cottage is one of a group of pretty fishermen's cottages positioned several metres back from the slow flowing tidal beck, right on the harbour side in the charming seaside village of Staithes. The beck still provides mooring to several Cobles (local name for the regions fishing boats) in a web of ropes and buoys. It has uninterrupted sea views of the bay and out to sea and is surrounded by high craggy cliffs at the side and rear of the property. It has recently been fully renovated into a spacious, modern 3 bedroomed property. It has been lovingly decorated and furnished to a high standard and is an ideal base for families looking for a coastal retreat or dog walkers and keen ramblers.

The best views of the village can be enjoyed from the Cleveland Way which runs down the Cliffside to the sea's edge and covers 110 miles passing through some beautiful resorts like Runswick Bay, Sandsend and Whitby. Staithes is one of the most photographed villages in Yorkshire and claims connections with Captain Cook, who was apprernticed to a draper near the harbour. Nowadays, Staithes is a must for anyone visiting the Yorkshire Coast and has a good selection of pubs, shops, tea rooms and an Art Gallery. Staithes is also well known for its group of Victorian artists and art classes which are still very popular today.
