The area is a haven for outdoor enthusiasts as the world famous Coast to Coast walk ends at Robin Hood’s Bay and the Cleveland way 110 mile walk passes through it. The beautiful fishing port of Whitby is only 3 miles away and is a great day for all the family, with 3 miles of golden sandy beach, amusements and the kids can enjoy a ride on a donkey. The tour bus is a great way to get around Whitby and will take you to some interesting sites including the stunning Abbey and St Mary’s Church situated on the cliff top. The yellow boats that leave the harbour regularly are a great way to appreciate the beauty of Whitby from the sea and are an experience not to forget. The old part of Whitby is definitely worth a visit with cobbled streets and quaint shops where the famous Whitby Jet is turned into beautiful jewellery and sold in many shops.  You must sample Whitby’s famous mouth-watering ‘Fish and Chips’ before you leave. A holiday at Farm Cottage is a perfect way to feel relaxed and refreshed.
