The Esk Valley, which is right on your doorstep boasts some of the most stunning and varied scenery, which can be appreciated on the North Yorkshire Moors steam train, which picks up just 1/2 mile from the property and will take you to the market town of Pickering, stopping off at Grosmont and Goathland (also known as Heartbeat country).
