Whitby has plenty to offer everyone with a large selection of pubs, quaint antique and gift shops, the famous fish and chip shops and 3 miles of golden sandy beach. A great way to get around and explore the famous sights of Whitby is by taking the local tour bus that will take you to the stunning Abbey and St Mary’s Church positioned on the Cliff top where you can enjoy spectacular views over Whitby and out to sea. You can also take one of the many pleasure cruises that will take you out to sea for 1 hour which is a memorable experience. Whitby is surrounded by spectacular scenery of the North York Moors which you can enjoy by taking either the Esk valley train that takes you through the pretty villages dotted along the way or you must take a memorable trip on the North York Moor steam train that will take you from Whitby to the lovely market town of Pickering stopping off at Goathland otherwise known as ’Heartbeat Country’. The lovely coastal resorts of sandsend, Staithes, Runswick Bay and Robin Hoods Bay are all within close proximity and are well worth a visit.
