Nestling on the edge of the North York Moors and only one mile from the centre of the small town of Kirkbymoorside, Elm Tree Cottage enjoys a semi rural position where pheasants and wild deer can often be seen roaming the fields. Excellent footpath walks abound direct from the door leading into the heart of the countryside. For those wishing to explore the area, the market towns of Helmsley and Pickering, complete with castles are approximately 7 miles whilst other attractions which are easily accessible from the cottage include golf, swimming, mountain bike tracks in the Dalby forest, Ryedale Folk Museum and much more. Definitely a good base from which to explore the Yorkshire Coast, North York Moors and the historic City of York.
