Lots of attractions in the area include a beautiful stretch of golden sandy beach, golf club on the cliff top, swimming and leisure facilities, sailing, fishing and children's amusements. Also the more southerly resorts of Robin Hood's Bay, Scarborough and Bridlington are well worth a visit.  Perfectly positioned for exploring the quaint fishing villages of Staithes and Runswick Bay. The North York Moors National Park is a major attraction offering dramatic scenery (often referred to as "Heatbeat Country") along with the North York Moors Steam Railway line which meanders through heather strewn moorland via Grosmont, Goathland and Levisham en-route to the bustling market town of Pickering.
