Yorkshire's Premier Multi Award Winning Lavender Farm and gardens are situated right opposite Almond Cottage in a spectacular hillside farm of nearly 60 acres, within the Howardian Hills which is an area of outstanding natural beauty and is free admission. Terrington itself is a large village parish with a fine Norman church and looks along the Howardian ridge eastwards towards Castle Howard and Malton. It is a perfect base for a relaxing holiday whether you are keen walkers, cyclists or simply looking to relax and unwind.

Castle Howard featured in the film 'Brideshead Revisited', is only 3 miles away and well worth a visit, whilst the historic city of York is just 14 miles, with its stunning Minster, cobbled streets and excellent shops. The picturesque village of Hovingham is only a few minutes drive with a number of shops and pubs. If you want to travel slightly further afield, be sure to visit the North Yorkshire Moors National Park or maybe visit the east of the area with its quaint fishing villages, spectacular cliffs and coastal scenery, beautiful beaches and the lively seaside resorts of Scarborough, Filey and Bridlington as well as the famous seaside town of Whitby.
