Situated in extensive grounds on a working arable farm within acres of woodland, Baxby Manor is a historic manor house in a quiet rural location yet with easy access to York and beyond. An excellent choice for a special gathering of friends or family, the cottage has cosy log fires, five bedrooms each individually furnished and extensive grounds where guests are welcome to help themselves to seasonal produce. Internet access, outdoor games and even a library room feature in this unique cottage. The village pub is a mere five minute walk away from the cottage.
The owner is willing to accept short breaks all year round except Christmas and New Year.
Please note: there is a pond and beck in the grounds – please supervise young children.

Lounge: with Inglenook fireplace with bread oven and open fire, TV, DVD, radio/CD, telephone for incoming and local calls. Study: small room with local information etc. Library: with open fire and good selection of books and comfortable seating.
Cloakroom: with WC and basin.
Bedroom 1: The Blue Room with King size bed and en-suite shower, WC and basin.
Bedroom 2: The Yellow Room with double bed and en-suite with Jacuzzi, shower, WC and basin. This bedroom is approached from a separate large landing area which is suitable for placing a folding bed for the extra 2 children.
Bedroom 3: The Pink Room with double canopied bed and en-suite shower, WC and basin.
Bedroom 4: The Green Room with twin beds.
Bedroom 5: The Peach Room with twin beds.
Bathroom: with shower over the bath, WC and basin.
All fuel, power, bed linen and towels included. Cot and high chair provided. One small well behaved dog welcome.
Ample parking. Wireless broadband internet access. 2 gardens with garden furniture and outdoor games. Vegetable garden and guests may help themselves to seasonal produce. Pond in grounds and beck around perimeter – please keep young children strictly supervised.

York is a mere 15 miles away with an abundance of attractions to discover including York Minster, National Railway Museum, Castle Museum, Jorvick and the York Dungeon, not to mention unique shopping around ancient cobbled streets. The elegant spa town of Harrogate is also a short drive away featuring the fully restored Victorian Turkish Baths for those in need of some true relaxation. Both the North York Moors and Yorkshire Dales National Parks are on the doorstep and just a short journey takes you to the beautiful East Yorkshire Coast.

Very spacious and well equipped house. Nice touch with the welcome hamper and fresh eggs from the owner.
We all loved the property. It was very cute, with lots of personal touches such as the welcome hamper full of local produce.
All the rooms were beautifully decorated and all rooms were more than well equipped.
The gardens were beautiful and the owner was very friendly and helpful. I would definately recommend this place.
