The Barn is a lovely cosy cottage full of character that has recently been converted and furnished to a high standard. It has been tastefully decorated and furnished and is perfect for couples looking to relax and enjoy this beautiful part of the world. The area is ideal for walkers and cyclists with numerous pathways and cycle tracks direct from the property. The beautiful market town of Boroughbridge is only 3 miles away, with its lovely cobbled areas and a market square at the south end.

There are several pubs and restaurants within Boroughbridge itself and the surrounding villages. These range from traditional country pubs to Indian restaurants. Open air markets are held every week in nearby Ripon, Thirsk and Knaresborough and for the sports enthusiast, there are also a range of golf and race courses in the near vicinity. The lovely spa town of Harrogate is also close by as is the historic city of York with its magnificent Minster where you can enjoy visiting the National Railway Museum, Jorvik Viking Centre and York Dungeons. You can also sail along the River Ouse on the Yorkboat, where you can see the city from a different perspective or join one of the nightly ghost walks through the ancient streets recounting stories of York's spooky past.
