The decor is a mix of modern and period and it is an ideal retreat for families with plenty of space outside for the children to explore. It is situated 2.5 miles from the picturesque village of Hovingham with a woodland pathway leading directly from the cottage into the village. The Lodge Cottage sits amongst the beautiful countryside of the Howardian Hills, an area of outstanding Natural Beauty. The bustling market towns of Helmsley (9 miles away) and Malton (11 miles away) are both easily reached from the property, as well as Flamingo Land Zoo and Park which is a great day out for all the family. There are excellent walking and cycling opportunities direct from the village itself or close by in the North Yorkshire Moors National Park areas.
The stately home and gardens of Castle Howard are just 7 miles away. If you drive slightly further a field there is the historic city of York, renowned for its beautiful Minster and cobbled streets or the East Coast seaside resorts, which are well worth a visit.
