Mere Park House is a modern detached family house in the quiet village of Fridaythorpe in the heart of the beautiful Yorkshire Wolds. Situated by the village pond, the house has a lovely outlook and a sunny garden capturing the sunlight throughout the day. The house is well equipped and furnished and decorated to a high standard, with Laura Ashley bed linens and two of the bedrooms having en-suite facilities. The lounge is spacious and has a lovely open fire - perfect to sit and relax around after a hard days sightseeing or walking.

Fridaythorpe lies between the historic City of York and the seaside town of Bridlington; both of which are around a half an hour drive away. York offers an abundance of attractions to suits all ages with the Yorvik Viking Museum, National Railway Museum, York Minster, quaint cobbled streets and an excellent selection of shops, restaurants and bars. Bridlington, Filey and Scarborough all offer a superb family day out with sandy beaches, amusements and promenades. Castle Howard, a stately home with excellent gardens and woodlands is another attraction worthy of a visit hosting many seasonal events throughout the year. For the keen walkers amongst you, the 'Yorkshire Wolds Way' passes Fridaythorpe on its way from the Humber to the seaside town of Filey, and is excellent for those seeking a peaceful, flat walk through dry valleys and woodlands.
