About the local area

Laycock is just four miles from Haworth, home of the Bronte Sisters.  Haworth attracts visitors from all over the world who love to explore the surroundings, and experience the childhood memories of The Bronte Sisters as they visit the Bronte Parsonage Museum.  The village of Haworth is very quaint with narrow winding cobbled streets and an array of old fashioned stores, gift shops and tearooms.
Skipton (The Gateway to the Dales) is just a seven mile drive. Skipton is a buzzing Yorkshire market town with stalls filling the high street four days out of seven.  There is a great deal of history relating to Skipton including a well preserved Norman Castle which is over 900 years old, and many ancient inns, churches and museums.  The town centre offers a good mix of tearooms, restaurants, gift shops and boutiques for you to enjoy.
Continue in a Westerley direction from Skipton and you will soon be in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales open countryside, a walkers and cyclists paradise, or perhaps, just the place to sit back and enjoy these awe inspiring surroundings.
A trip to Yorkshire would never be complete without visiting the magnificent cathedral city of York with its wonderful mixture of history and culture, attracting visitors young and old from far and wide.  York certainly has something to offer everybody.
However you choose to spend your time at Cherry Blossom, you are sure to enjoy the warm Yorkshire welcome on offer.
