About the local area

From the stepping stone, Goat Scar Lane, a steep stony track leads to Catrigg Force, a beautiful waterfall on Stainforth Beck, with superb walking to Settle via Winskill and Longcliffe Scar. Stainforth village lies 2 1/2 miles north of the bustling market town of Settle with a selection of unique cottages and shops surrounding the market square and is easily accessible for the popular tourist attractions of Malham with its Cove and Tarn.
