Set in the centre of Malham behind the Buck Inn, in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, this cosy, terraced cottage makes an ideal home, with views over the fields from the patio, and walks direct from the door. Malham Cove, Janet’s Foss, Gordale Scar and Malham Tarn are all within walking distance, and because there are two excellent pubs in the village, you can relax in either and talk over the ‘rigours of the day’, whilst enjoying a drink or sampling the food.
A little further afield is the market town of Settle just 6½ miles, where you will find the well-known Settle to Carlisle railway, with trains running over the famous Ribblehead Viaduct, from which the views are some of the best on offer in Yorkshire. Settle is a small market town and offers a selection of mostly independent shops, pubs and a few restaurants, together with an indoor pool and golf course. Skipton, just over 11 miles away, is a larger market town, with a Norman castle standing proudly at the head of the town, and a wide sweeping high street, together with a good selection of shops, pubs and restaurants. If you prefer to shop at local farm shops, there is one at Airton just 2½ miles away, offering a selection of local produce. Shop 2½ miles, pub and restaurant 30 yards.
