Barn Cottage is a charming 17th Century stone cottage which nestles in a fantastic location right at the heart of Crakehall, a friendly, idyllic and award winning village, overlooking the expansive and picturesque village green. Retaining its original character the cottage has been extensively modernised providing very well equipped accommodation which is furnished to a high standard with attention to detail and many personal touches. Access to a delightful private garden and patio at the rear of cottage is perfect for relaxing and al-fresco dining on warmer days.

About the local area

Crakehall is the gateway to Wensleydale and boasts an impressive manor house, church, cricket club and quoits club. The village inn is only a few steps away and the well-stocked village shop is a two minute stroll across the green. Nestling between two National Parks it is ideal for exploring the Dales and Moors of North Yorkshire. There are many places of interest in the area and close by Thorpe Perrow Arboretum has an abundance of pretty wild flower filled woodland walks and a tea room whilst fishing, golf and riding are available locally. Bedale has a good selection of individual shops and restaurants whilst the market towns of Leyburn, Thirsk and Northallerton each with their own unique charm are a short drive away.
