Thoralby has a local shop and pub, and nearby West Burton has a village shop and pub along with its own natural waterfall. Aysgarth Falls and Hardraw Force along with Semer Water Lake each offer their own natural beauty. Walks start from the village through some of the finest countryside in Yorkshire where the scenery is quite spectacular. Hawes and Leyburn are just a short drive away.
