These two delightful cottages are situated side by side (Strawberry on the left and Blueberry on the right of the Photograph) in the heart of the bustling town centre of Leyburn. Refurbished in 2009 to a high standard, the cottages offer cosy and welcoming accommodation with the advantage of private parking and a garden and decked patio to the rear. From the first floor bedrooms, wonderful views stretch across the garden and out across the picturesque dale.

This property can be booked together with Strawberry Cottage (218016) to accommodate up to eight people

Property has gas fired central heating and comprises:

Lounge/Dining/Kitchen: With open fire, TV, DVD, radio/CD. Electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge with ice compartment and washing machine. Dining table and 4 chairs.

First floor

Bedroom 1: With king size bed

Bedroom 2: With twin beds

Bathroom: With shower bath with shower over, WC, wash basin, heated towel rail and shaver point.

Facilities

All fuel for the central heating, electric and bed linen included. Logs & coal for the open fire available locally. Travel cot and high chair available by arrangement with the owner.

About the local area

This busy market town attracts visitors all year round and hosts an outdoor market every Friday and the last Saturday in each month in the square just a short 200 yard stroll from the cottages. A good selection of shops surrounds the town centre, along with pubs and restaurants, a deli outdoor shops. Above the market square, the "Shawl" is a perfect vantage point from which to admire stunning views over Wensleydale. Leyburn ensures a perfect base from which to explore the Yorkshire Dales National Park, along with the lively village of Middleham, home to over 1,000 racehorses who enjoy their morning exercise on the "gallops" high above Middleham Castle. For the children, the forbidden Corner, a labyrinth of tunnels, chambers, follies and surprises, set within 4 acres of walled gardens - must be booked in advance. Leyburn itself enjoys the Wensleydale Railway Line, Tea pot factory and chocolate makers, ensuring something for everyone.
