Hawes in Upper Wensleydale holds an outdoor market each Tuesday and offers an excellent selection of shops, pubs and tea rooms too. Also home to the Wensleydale Creamery complete with visitor centre and the Dales Countryside Museum, antiques and other speciality shops. There are several craft workshops including the rope makers and pottery with local tradesmen showing their wares. From Hawes the dramatic scenery of the Buttertubs Pass leads into neighbouring Swaledale with an abundance of pretty villages including Thwaite, Muker, Low Row and Reeth. Perfectly positioned for exploring the Yorkshire Dales National Park, County Durham and the Lake District.

A very very comfortable and well equipped cottage in a glorious setting. We loved it. We've booked for next year already.
Fabulous! really comfy, clean, had everything we needed. Didn't want to leave! only request would be a radio in the kitchen - we like dancing while we cook!
