The dining room is charming and rustic and enjoys the warmth and comfort of an oil fired Rayburn with a traditional drying rack above, whilst the lounge is light and airy and affords spectacular views over the enclosed courtyard and stretching to Wether Fell. About the local area

Hawes in Upper Wensleydale holds an outdoor market each Tuesday and offers an excellent selection of shops, pubs and tea rooms too. Also home to the Wensleydale Creamery complete with visitor centre and the Dales Countryside Museum, antiques and other speciality shops. There are several craft workshops including the rope makers and pottery with local tradesmen showing their wares. From Hawes the dramatic scenery of the Buttertubs Pass leads into neighbouring Swaledale with an abundance of pretty villages including Thwaite, Muker, Low Row and Reeth. Perfectly positioned for exploring the Yorkshire Dales National Park, County Durham and the Lake District.
