Situated in a tranquil location off the main village road in historic Snape is Cundall's Cottage. Cundall's is a beautiful stone barn converted to a very high standard in the last year resulting in this individual property which is oozing with character and architectural features.Hardwood ash floors,stone flags and oak beams abound. Central heating is provided by a truly unique woodburner in the large lounge (electric oil filled radiators are provided for those of you who may prefer not to light the stove or may just require a small amount of background heat during the warmer summer months). Cundalls is furnished in an eclectic style with a high degree of luxury for both families and couples. With three bedrooms upstairs Cundalls can comfortably accommodate up to six guests, the well equipped kitchen has everything you need for self catering. A shed is also available for those wishing to take advantage of the
quiet roads and bring their own bicycles. This property is sure to appeal to those wanting something a little different. Outside is a serene courtyard and BBQ area overflowing with creeping plants and shrubs providing a quiet secluded area for you to enjoy al fresco dining. Snape village has a good pub serving food, an excellent farm shop, a lovely beck running through the centre, and a castle, dating from 1426 which was once the home of Henry VIII’s last, and surviving, wife Katherine Parr.

Snape is one of only a few country villages that still enjoys the services of a village shop and a thriving pub where you can enjoy a quiet drink and supper, or catch up on the local news. Unlike many villages, Snape also has its own Castle which open for the public to explore. The area is blessed with many other attractions, a walkers dream with the Yorkshire Dales almost on the doorstep, and the North Yorkshire Moors within half an hour's drive. The historical cities of York and Ripon are within easy reach, and you are sure to enjoy a trip to the famous spa town of Harrogate where you may wish to sample afternoon tea in the famous Betty's Tearooms. There will always be plenty to keep the whole family entertained, Lightwater Valley theme park is within easy reach, Campill just a mile or two down the road offers the popular tree ropes, 4x4 experience, go karting and lots more, several golf courses in the area, racecourses at York, Ripon and Catterick. Whatever your taste, the area is bound to offer something for you, or, perhaps you may wish to just sit back and enjoy the brilliant, individual architectural features that Cundall's has to offer.
