Upside down in layout the lounge is on the first floor to make the most of the views, daylight and the beautiful beamed ceiling open to the eaves. A wood burning stove is also a welcoming feature - perfect for warming the toes after a hard days walking or sightseeing. The bedrooms benefit from en-suite facilities making the cottage ideal for two couples sharing.

Carperby is situated between the bustling market towns of Hawes and Leyburn. Hawes has many craft shops, restaurants and pubs with the famous Wensleydale Creamery and Ropeworks both popular visitor attractions. Vintage buses also pass the cottage through the scenic villages on their way to Hawes. Leyburn has a Friday Market and many tea rooms, shops and amenities. Bolton Castle, a Grade I listed building with delightful grounds is around 3 miles from the cottage, and Aysgarth Falls with its beautiful waterfall walks is definitely worth a visit, not to mention the abundance of walking opportunities direct from the door. Ideal for those seeking a peaceful retreat in this beautiful area of the Yorkshire Dales.

Curlew Cottage is fantastic. We very very impressed indeed with how comfortable and well presented it is. The decoration, ambient lighting etc made it a wonderful place to stay. The owners had anticipated everything we might have needed. I've never stayed in such a well-equipped cottage. 
Curlew Cottage is extremely well kitted out and maintained. All credit to both the owners and whoever services the property between lets.
