Situated on the outskirts of the picturesque village of Aysgarth, in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales National Park is Holly Cottage. Holly Cottage is a detached 1760's stone conversion with magnificent far reaching views across the Dales. There are some lovely tearooms in Aysgarth, so do treat yourself during your stay. The cottage has been sympathetically renovated by the owners to provide a welcoming traditional feel. This cottage would look the part in any glossy 'country' magazine, a real gem. A recent addition is the creation of an enclosed stone patio approached directly from the dining area, ideal for alfresco dining as you enjoy the fresh Yorkshire air and take in the breathtaking scenery.

The area is a haven for walkers, and there are many other attractions within very easy reach. The bustling traditional market towns of Hawes and Leyburn are both just 8 miles away, there are cobbled streets and an array of Yorkshire Produce on offer. Hawes is famous for the well known Wensleydale Creamery, home of Wensleydale Cheese, a real Yorkshire tradition. Bolton Abbey is well worth a visit, and the famous Aysgarth Falls are a must for visitors to the area. The open gardens of The Forbidden Corner at Middleham are worth a trip and are sure to make you ask 'mysterious' questions that may never be answered!!!
There are many reputable pubs and restaurants in the area, one that comes highly recommended is the pub in Newbiggin, just 2.5 miles from the cottage where I am told that the Sunday lunch is 'just like your grandma used to make'!!
