Nestling within the grounds of the owner's home in the pretty hamlet of Woodhall in heart of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, this delightful single storey cottage is cosy and compact and offers a peaceful retreat for couples. Situated in an elevated position, the cottage overlooks the garden and wildlife lake, attracting many species of birds and animals with footpath walks meandering through the grounds and around the lake.

Woodhall is situated some 2 1/2 miles from the pretty Dales village of Askrigg, known for its connections with James Herriot in the TV series of All Creatures Great and Small, and approximately 4 miles from Aysgarth Falls complete with visitor centre, waterfall walks and stunning scenery.
The bustling market towns of Leyburn and Hawes are easily accessible offering a good selection of shops, pubs, tea rooms and craft work shops. In Leyburn, the tea pottery and chocolate factory are well worth a visit, whilst Hawes hosts the Wensleydale Creamery, Rope makers and Dales Countryside Museum. History enthusiasts will appreciate the Castles & Abbeys in Richmond, Middleham, Jervaulx and Castle Bolton.

Very pleased with the cottage and area
The cottage was exactly as described, extremely comfortable, fully equipped, clean and tidy in a peaceful and beautiful location. We would not hesitate to recommend for anyone wanting to escape the rat-race and retreat to somewhere ideal to recharge the batteries.
We really loved it here, great cottage for two people,so peaceful and lots of wildlife.
