About the local area
Worton has a village pub, the Victoria Arms, a quirky but friendly public house run by the same owners since 1956. The pub bears more resemblance to a front room, but is ideal for stopping off for a well earned pint of ales after a walk in the surrounding area. The cottage is perfectly positioned for exploring the Dales with the bustling market towns of Leyburn and Hawes easily accessible, each offering an excellent selection of shops, pubs, tearooms and craft work shops. Approximately one mile away across the valley is the popular village of Askrigg with a choice of public houses serving meals. Nearby Aysgarth offers the most dramatic waterfalls surrounded by woodland walks and is home to the Yorkshire Dales National Park Visitor Centre offering an abundance of information for the immediate area, ensuring a perfect location for the outdoor enthusiast.
