About the local area
Bedale is centrally situated for exploring the area, having the North Yorkshire Moors within a half hour drive, and the Yorkshire Dales almost on the doorstep. The historic cities of Ripon and York are within easy reach and are well worth a visit, however you choose to spend your holiday, you will be delighted with the location and comforts that Little Welham has to offer. Bedale itself can boast several very reputable tearooms which are well worth a visit, restaurants, its own highly regarded golf course, swimming pool, plus an array of small interesting shops selling local produce and goods. The area is a paradise for walkers and mountain biking, and there are many tourist attractions to suit all tastes within very easy reach.
