The Ropeworks and the Dales Countryside Museum are also located in Hawes allowing visitors to watch local craftspeople at work and take a glimpse at how life was and now is for those who live and work in the Yorkshire Dales. For those wishing to venture further afield, the market towns of Kirkby Stephen, Leyburn and Richmond are a short drive away, or why not take a scenic tour over the ’Buttertubs’ road to neighbouring Swaledale.
