The area is a haven for the outdoor enthusiast with an abundance of footpath walks direct from the door and in particular one leading to Aysgarth Falls where the water from the triple falls can be found cascading down the rocks towards the bridge – a sight to behold! Beside the falls, Aysgarth is also home to The Yorkshire Dales National Park Visitor Centre, complete with gift shop and café. Also handy for exploring the bustling market towns of Leyburn and Hawes, each individual in their own right and offering a good selection of specialist shops, pubs, tearooms and craft workshops where tradesmen produce their wares.

The cottage was lovely, spotless, charming and very well equipped. The best thing about it was the amazing range of beautiful walks right from the doorstep, all easy to find with the ordnance survey map provided (and the helpful advice at the nearby tourist information centre).
This was a great little cottage, spotlessly clean with beds - and linen - to die for! It was handy for some good walks and close enough - by car- to larger villages which provided shops, restaurants etc. The interior of the cottage was very comfortable and suited the two of us well for our break.
The property is well equiped, clean and comfortable in a quiet village. There was lots of local information left for us, even an ordnanace survey map for walking. Lovely pub with good food 2 mins walk.
