Middleham is a historic market town in the heart of Wensleydale and provides the perfect base from which to explore the Yorkshire Dales National Park. The town has a shop and several good pubs and restaurants, and holiday makers may admire the racehorses clip clopping through Middleham to the nearby 'gallops' for their daily exercise. The area is perfect for those who love being outdoors with an abundance of walks and hikes waiting to be enjoyed, along with horse riding and mountain biking. Nearby Leyburn caters for basic amenities along with gift shops, Tourist Information Centre and restaurants. Should you wish to venture a little further , Masham with both Black Sheep and Theakston's breweries is worthy of a visit, along with Lightwater Valley Amusement Park for the kids.

cottage provided everything we needed for an enjoyable holiday in the Dales.
The owners attention to detail was outstanding. One of the best cottages we have ever stayed in. It would have been handy to have a washing line or similar in the back yard, but that is a small niggle! Overall 10 out of 10!
Very happy with this lovely cosy cottage which has everything you need.
