Wrayrigg is located in the quiet hamlet of Cowgill at the heart of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. This centrally heated, solid stone cottage is part of a 19th century former farmhouse and oozes country charm with its wood burning stove, wooden beams and farmhouse style kitchen with Aga.
Spread over three floors, the cottage has a spacious attic room with a double sofa bed, Velux windows, snooker table and extra seating, making it an ideal children's hideaway or perfect place for your own tranquil moments.
Open the window in the master bedroom for the sound of the babbling beck which runs just beyond the cottage's walled front patio garden; or wake up to the view of open fields and hillside from the second double bedroom. Every window offers stunning scenery. You can gather around the glowing wood burning stove in winter or take in Dentdale with a BBQ in the front garden in summer, and step just two hundred metres from Wrayrigg to join the highly renowned Dalesway Walk, and the bank of the River Dee. This beautiful area offers a mass of unspoilt, breathtaking walks for those wanting an easy ramble with children, to those adventurers who want to take the short drive in order to ascend any of Yorkshire's three peaks.
