It also plays host to a Dickensian festival around Christmas and provides a wide variety of entertainment in summer at its art festival. A little further afield is the historic market town of Skipton with its Norman castle standing proudly at the head of the wide, sweeping cobbled high street. In Skipton you will also find an indoor swimming pool, a golf course, boat trips on the canal, and a wide variety of shops, pubs, restaurants and cafés. Shop, pub/restaurants 2 miles.
