Sedbergh

Sedbergh is a small and ancient market town located in Cumbria, just within the borders of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Quietly nestled in an equidistant position about 10 miles from both Kendal and Kirkby Lonsdale, this lovely town is ideally situated for exploring both Cumbria and some of the prettiest towns in the Yorkshire Dales.

Sedbergh itself is a vibrant town with a picturesque main street lined with unique shops including a number of independent bookshops and dealers due to its status as an official book town of England. Sedbergh is also home to a number of tea rooms, cafes, pubs and restaurants and markets for visitors to sample, offering endless entertainment for those looking to soak up the atmosphere in a tranquil and relaxed environment. For families, the nearby Holme Farm is also well worth a visit and the famous Settle to Carlisle railway runs through nearby Dentdale and Garsdale, with occasional steam services running over the old Ribbledale Viaduct proving a fascinating day out.
