Thousands of people each year come and admire the illuminations on some of York’s most iconic buildings. Spread over a four day period the brilliant lights are available to view throughout the evening and give a completely new interpretation to the historic architecture.
Using lighting and modern projection technologies the Illuminating York Festival runs in late October and gives enthusiastic photographers the opportunity to shoot some wonderful images.
There are sites planned throughout the City Centre and many museums open in the evenings whilst the festival is on to give tours and people the chance to experience York in a truly different light.
