Established in 2010, the Pickering Walking Festival is quickly growing as walkers come to explore Yorkshire’s renowned countryside by foot and by steam on the North Yorkshire Moors railway.
With a different theme chosen every year and a number of routes for people to choose from, varying in length or scenery on offer the festival has proved popular with ramblers and local folk alike.
Through the course of the weekend there’s the chance to take in local wildlife as well as enjoy entertainment arranged in the evenings including folk and acoustic singers. This really is a memorable weekend perfect for a cottage holiday in the Dales.
