The pretty village of Brandesburton lies between Hornsea and Beverley in the Yorkshire Wolds, just seven miles from the coast.
It is a small village but has plenty going on. There are food shops, a post office, two pubs, a fish and chip shop, restaurant and a craft shop. The church dates back to Norman times and there is a small village green.
Brandesburton is home to the Billabong Jet Ski Centre where visitors can enjoy motorised water sports on the beautiful clear lake. Camping is available on the site or visitors can go for the day to enjoy the jet skis and speedboats for hire.
The Hainsworth Park Golf Club is a parkland course with mature trees and interesting water features. It is a small, family-run course offering enjoyable golf with a few challenges along the way.
The traditional seaside resort of Hornsea is just seven miles to the east of Brandesburton, with a golden beach, promenade, museum and a beautiful mere, which is a sanctuary for bird life as well as a peaceful location for walking, boating and fishing.
The market town of Beverley is home to Beverley Minster and a racecourse. Market Day is Saturday but there is also a mid-week market and the town offers plenty of other shopping opportunities.
