Description
Looking for a break away on Yorkshire’s beautiful coast? This first floor apartment is like no other. The owner has added some unique features, making this a stay you are sure to remember. The cherry on top of the cake is the hot tub perched on the balcony. In the large living room, you have sweeping views out over the horizon, with comfortable seating around the TV. There is also a pool table to enjoy in an evening, perfect for socialising together. Whether you wish to create a homemade meal or treat yourselves to a take away, the open plan dining area with a modern and well equipped kitchen has everything you could wish for. The master bedroom boasts a kingsize bed, and there is also a zip and link twin bedroom which can be made up as a super kingsize on request. In the bathroom you have a spa bath, where you can unwind in style.
At low tide you have the inviting, long golden stretch of beach below your window, whilst at high tide the waves reach the sea wall, sometimes crashing dramatically, creating plumes of sea spray in the air. You have the perfect vantage point over the sea, where you can sit back and take in the incredible scenery, either from the comfort of the open plan living room or from the huge private balcony. If you wake up early enough, you will be rewarded with the sun rising over the water.
The location is ideal for a seaside break, you are just steps away from the seafront funfair, the bright and inviting arcades, as well as an array of shops, bars and restaurants. Bridlington is a historic coastal town, and has been a popular tourist destination for generations. Known as the lobster capital of Europe, there are some wonderful seafood restaurants where you can delight in the freshly caught local delicacies.
Nearby you have more of the incredible coastline to explore, including Flamborough, with its dramatic white cliffs, as well as an iconic lighthouse. Bempton, which attracts thousands of sea birds each year, has become a nature reserve where you can see nesting puffins and gannets, as well as the occasional seal in the sea below. The glorious golden beach at Filey stretches for over five miles, which is a joy to visit. In Scarborough, as well as the beach you have the open air theatre, the Sea Life Centre and the oriental gardens with paddle boats at Peasholm Park, as well as Alpamare Water Park and Spa.
For history lovers you have the nearby stately homes of Sewerby Hall and gardens, Burton Agnes and Castle Howard. For a day out, you are only an hour away from the medieval walled city of York, which is captivating, with charming cobbled streets and a fascinating history. Beach 50 yards. Shop, pub and restaurant 50 yards.
